Need a Doxie friend
We have had Doxies and know a small or miniture Doxie is what we need now. Adoption is the perfect solution to fill my need and save a lonesome dog. We know that our new friend out there somewhere.

Searching for Long Haired
I am an avid dog lover and truly believe in rescues. I feel it is the best way to help an animal who has been given up. Having had to give one up myself (a weimeranier) and knowing she went to a great home made me realize that getting a dog/puppy through a rescue is the only way to go. I am currently still looking for a long-haired dachshund. I am hoping that I will be able to take one home soon.

Rusty
I rescued my Rusty from a local animal shelter. That was the best day of my life. He had some issues, but together we worked through them. Now my little guy is my buddy and I love him so much! I never had a doxie before, they are the best dogs in the world!

Dachshund Love
I have always loved the unique-ness of dachshunds. But it wasn't until I actually became the proud owner of a miniature doxie, that I realized how intelligent and loyal creatures they are. My 2 year-old red mini named California (Cali, for short) has a "dancing" personality that makes me laugh on a daily basis. She really is the boss of my household and puts my boxer-pitt bull in his place! I will always be a doxie owner. :)

Molly Lucy
I love dachshunds. I have two 3 year olds. Molly is a dapple, brown spots with white, she has a little boston terry in her. Lucy is white with black spots, she is sort of a purebred, she was crossbred from a long hair with a wired haired. We call her scary hair, so we keep her very short. The breeder did not tell us she has long hair in hair so we were very surprised. But both are just lovers. I am so glad to find a place to get rescue dachshunds. Our next will be a rescue. Keep up the good work.

A gift from heaven!
Kris and I adopted a long haired doxie named Emma about a year ago. Only one word can describe her: precious! She and other doxie, Gabe, have become inseparable. She truly is a gift from heaven. Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt her.

Mozart
Mozart is still doing very well. He still goes for walks with his sister Belle the beagle. They both have taken over their parents bed. Mozart has been the perfect match for our family.
